As Dominik already posted, he chose to rest up for Paris-Roubaix on Sunday, instead of racing today.
In today's rainy stage Christian Knees finished 4th for Milram along with Johannes Fröhlinger (Milram, 5th). Marco Pinotti (Colombia) soloed in for the win 19 sec ahead of the field. Nibali (Liguigas) was also off the front, but was caught by the first group in the closing 1-2km, with Ben Swift (Katusha) taking the field sprint for a second day in a row.
Christian Knees moved up to 11th in the GC (+1.11), and Contador (Astana) still holds the GC with with three riders within eight seconds, including Cadel Evans (Silence Loto). In tomorrow's time trial, Christian can move up to 8th place by riding 17+ seconds faster than the three riders ahead of him. There are four other riders with the same time as Christian. For Christian to move into the top five he will need to ride 44+ seconds faster than Damiano Cungego (Lampre). So tomorrow's time trial will be an exciting day for Christian and Milram.
