Stage 2: Gawler - Hahndorf 133.5km

Dom suffered another mechanical today, putting him out the main bunch. Previous to his mechanical he did make an effort to bridge to the lead group, but was caught.

Milram's Aussie rider Luke Roberts got 8th, and Thomas Rohregger (AUT) Team MILRAM got 12th. Thanks to Robert Förster knowing he would not have it for the sprint finish today and telling Luke to go for sprint finish himself in the closing kilometers (read it in his diary). Andre Greipel (GER) HTC-Columbia took win number two. Greg Henderson (NZl) Team Sky got second and Robbie McEwen (Aus) Katyusha third.

Andre Greipel now has a 14 second lead in the General Classification.

Stage 3 is supposed to be good for breakaway riders, so hopefully Dom's bad luck streak has ended and he can get into a good move.

G'day - Danny

Stage 1: Clare - Tanunda 141km

As Dom posted he had a mechanical that contributed to him getting last on stage 1. Thomas Rohregger attacked late in the race and was solo for a while and was caught with a little less than 10 km to go. The climb up Menglers Hill proved to hard today for Milram sprinter Robert Förster.

HTC-Columbia's Andre Greipel (Ger) won the bunch sprint.

I hope Dom has better luck today!

Short Note

I got last today, but mostly because I had a mechanical just before the last climb...and since I knew that it wouldn't make much difference I did't give it all to catch back the "gruppetto".
Now I have enough time so maybee that helps me when I'm in a break...
OK

Cancer Council Helpline Classic: Rymill Park 51km

Talked to Dom last night after the race. He was not happy that things did not work out in the finale for Team Milram. Milram worked well as a team with Rabbobank to bring the 5 man break back that included Lance Armstrong (Radio Shack) and Oscar Pereiro (Astana). In the end it was Team Sky that dominated the final 2 laps to take the win. Even though he was not happy with the team's results, he says his fitness is good for this time of year.
