Malle training-race

Today we did a little 120km race open to all elite riders. So besides some Cervelo GIRLS(seriously) a bunch of A,B,C (1,2,3) riders there were also a bunch of Continental and pro-Conti riders (Skil, Whirlpool, Burgos) and us 5 Milram guys. We would have liked a sprint for Wim (he is really fast) but there was of couse lots of attacking.
So some 30K into the race I found myself in a group of som 25 an Atur Gajek and Dominik Nerz were the last ones to Bridge.
Of course the group was too big so when there was a chance we put a lot of guys in the gutter and were left with 7 (3 of us, Schulz, Glasner, 1 van Vliet, and one Burgos Rider).
Since Schulz (Whirlpool) is a German Sprinter we didn't want to bring him to the line so we Started attacking some 30ks to go and Atur went away with the Burgos rider. Dominik managed to bridge a little later, but 10 to go had a bonk and came back. So I trid to attack for 3rd but wasn't successful so I ended up 5th....
After the Race we rode back to our abartment with nich tailwind...
And now we rewarded ourselves with a nice dinner at an Indian Place (normally we cook ourselves)
So 5 more dayes of training and thant Ill be super fit for the comming season!!!

Yep I DNFd the first race we won (Linus) but I did my work so that was good.
Now I stayed on the Island to do some good basetraining...and that worked (about 1150km during the last 6 days)
Tomorrow we do a little Amateur/Pro trainingrace...with 6 guys of the Team (Rohregger, Strotinga,Nerz, gajek and me)
I hope we can win it...
Ok I'll tell U how it went (cause you won't find it on cyclingnews...)

Dom Update

Dom has been busy since The Tour Down Under, training and doing some races in Mallorca, Spain. Dom raced three of the five races of the Mallorca Challenge:

February 7, Race 1 - Trofeo Palma de Mallorca: 116km

February 8, Race 2 - Trofeo Cala Millor: 172.4km
